1999 European Summer Workshops
with Wang Yen-nien
Wang Yen-nien, in cooperation with supporting European organizations, conducted a series of Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan workshops this summer in Brittany and Angers France.
From July 10 - 14, the Centre de Tai Chi Chuan d'Amorique and le Centre Parisien de Tai Chi Chuan presented a Section 1 applications and Tuishou workshop at the Center for Buddhist Studies at Plouray, Brittany.
From July 19 - 29 there were three workshops and a Teacher's College Day at Maison Familiale Vacances in Challones sur Loire, Angers. Workshop 1, organized by KUN LUN, was called "Tuishou as a Healing Art". Workshop 2, organized by Marie-Christine Moutault and Claudy Jeanmougin, covered Saber and Old Sword. Workshop 3, organized by ATA-ANGERS, covered "The eight sword techniques with an introduction to their martial application".
These workshops were well attended and quite successful. We will provide extensive coverage of the them, beginning with pictures from Brittany.
We look forward to the participation of everyone in covering these important events for the AYMTA Web Site, the AYMTA Journal, and the Taiji community in general.
